If you are feeling a little adventurous while visiting St. Lucia, just add one or all of the following activities to your list of things to do.
- Deep Sea Fishing – Arrange for an all day adventure at one of the local marinas and do a little deep sea fishing. Nothing is more exciting than reeling in marlin, king mackerel, barracuda or a mako shark. All of these species are plentiful in the St. Lucian waters. It is also possible on your day trip to have the opportunity to see dolphins and whales. Whale watching is very popular in this Caribbean destination.
- Canopy Tour – Nothing is more exciting than attaching yourself to a zip-line, 50-75 feet above the lush rain forest, and zipping away from one platform to another. This is a great way to see the island from a different point of view and is also quite the adrenaline rush. Once you experience this thrill, you will surely find yourself refreshed and energized for the rest of your trip.
- Go Golfing – No vacation is complete without a great round of golf. My wife doesn’t always agree with that statement, but I always enjoy exploring the golf courses in all my tropical destinations. Go ahead and book your tee time at the St. Lucia Golf Club and prepare for a thrilling and challenging round of golf on St. Lucia’s rolling hills. You will be glad you did. You can rent golf clubs at the course, so you don’t have to worry about lugging your own clubs around on the rest of your vacation.
So there you have a few great alternative activities to enjoy on your St. Lucian vacation. There is so much more to do than just sit on the beach and soak up the sun, though that is great too.
