St Lucia is a perfect destination for romantics, families and singles as well. This beautiful island, St. Lucia, offers amazingly beautiful beaches and lots of entertainment. You can choose any of the gold or black sand beaches as none of them are private. Even if some of the beaches are connected to a hotel located in a resort area, they’re all open to the public. No doubt about it, all paradise lovers will enjoy St. Lucia and its perfect beaches.
Excellent for swimming, St. Lucia’s beaches are great for all water sports, snorkeling and diving. Though all beaches are public in St. Lucia, some of them can be accessed only by boat and you won’t have access to umbrellas or chairs on every beach. If you’re not registered at a hotel, you will have to pay small fees for using umbrellas and chairs. You should keep in mind that there are no lifeguards in St. Lucia so you need to pay attention to the red flags and avoid swimming when you see them.
Some of the most popular beaches in St. Lucia can get a little crowded sometimes, but there are always alternatives so you are sure to find a romantic, intimate beach anytime. On St. Lucia’s South Coast you’ll have access to beautiful sandy beaches such as Anse Cochon, Anse Chastanet, Soufriere, Anse de Sables, Jalousie, Anse Des Pitons, and many other beautiful beaches. Most of the beaches you will find on the South Coast are accessible only by boat.
If you’re looking for spectacular beaches and a chance to take incredible photos of the wildlife, the beaches on the Eastern Coast of St. Lucia are excellent. Unfortunately these beaches are not suited for swimming but you will find an amazing natural beauty and a chance to spend some relaxing moments of contemplation.
St. Lucia’s Northwest Coast offers access to some of the most popular beaches on the island. Though these beaches can get quite crowded at times, you will find lots of entertainment there. Beaches such as Pigeon Island, Rodney Bay, Vigie, or Marigot Bay, are sure to impress you. The truth is you will find lots of amazing beaches in St. Lucia and you will surely enjoy an excellent vacation there.
The beach in St Lucis was fantastic. Because St Lucia is a volcanic island, the sand on the beaches are light gray. It is very fine and gray and feels wonderful on your feet. I have never seen such sand on beaches before…this was my first. The waves were a little high but that didn’t stop people from taking the dive. The beach was beautiful with fine gray sand and lush high waves.
